RESPECT YOURSELF 

 

Classroom Expectations:

  • Be prepared.
  • Sharpen pencils before class.
  • Bring water bottle to avoid trips to the drinking fountain. Fill water bottle before class.
  • Complete all schoolwork and homework. Then turn it in on time.
  • Be on task all day long.
  • Quick and quiet transitions.
  • Read; don't goof around during SSR.
  • Walk straight and silent in hallway.
  • Participate in class.
  • Respect everyone and the building.
  • Bathroom breaks occur  between class periods unless it is an emergency. Behave in the bathroom.
  • Snow/muck boots are not to be worn all day long. Bring shoes to school.
  • Do not wear or eat anything that has to do with SpongeBob while in the classroom.

 

The following are some examples of unacceptable conduct for 6th grade students:

BULLYING

DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR

HITTING

TRIPPING

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

YELLING

RUNNING IN HALLWAY

LYING

 


Students have the right to:

  • Safe learning environment.
  • Make choices.
  • Own thoughts and ideas.
  • Be treated fairly.
Students are responsible for:
  • Maintaining a safe learning environment.
  • The consequences of their choices. Their own actions.
  • Respecting others.

  • CONSEQUENCES
  • If you choose to break a rule:
  • First time:
  • Name on board. Warning
  • Second time:
  • One check. Refocus in hallway.
  • Third time:
  • Two checks. Recess detention.
  • Fourth time:
  • Three checks. Lunch/Recess detention.
  • Fifth time:
  • Four checks. Lunch/Recess detention, and call home.
  • Severe Disruption:
  • All the above and go to Principals office. Additional consequences will be served.
  •  
  • Names and check marks will be erased each day.
  • Recess detentions occur during the next recess.
  • Participation in field trips or other fun activities will depend on behavior and academics.
  • Final eligibility is determined by Mr. Seitz.
